La Alberca can overwhelm us every evening with the touch of the maiden of Ánimas and surprise us in the new day with the pig of San Antón wandering the streets.

After the sober, but solemn Holy Week, the day of the Pendón commemorates an old battle, and fifty days later, the Virgin of Majadas Viejas is celebrated in the middle of an oak grove.

While in Corpus the town is adorned with bedspreads and embroidered cloths, the offertory and dances of the Diagosto will give way to the unique representation of La Loa, with the devil as the protagonist.

These are just some of the centuries-old rites, customs and traditions that have been preserved practically intact and are lived before our eyes, in many cases intermingling the religious with the profane.
