Architecture

The traditional homes in La Alberca and the layout of the streets have become the hallmark of the village and one of its main attractions.

The homes are excellent examples of mountain-style architecture built using locally sourced natural materials such as clay, granite, and chestnut wood.

Above the lower floor, built in stone and traditionally used as stables, the upper floors stand out, built with the typical tramoneras (gabled roofs), so that the eaves of the roofs on both sides of the street almost meet.
